Reiki/Animal Reiki

Reiki is two Japanese words that are translated to mean “spiritual energy”.“Ki” (Chi) or life force energy exists in all people, animals, objects and the universe. Today, the word Reiki is used to mean both the energy used in the system and also the practice of Reiki. The founder of the system of Reiki, Usui Mikao, developed this practice in the early 1900’s for the purpose of self-healing and inner connectedness. He eventually passed these teachings on to others, to assist them with their own practice. Reiki at Animals in Harmony The system of Reiki has three levels. Each level involves deepening one’s understanding of energy and how to focus it for self- healing and hands on healing for others. A “Reiki Master” has studied all three levels of the system of Reiki and continues to practice to increase their connection with universal energy for their own self-healing and the healing of others. The system of Reiki teaches that healing exists within each individual. Offering universal energy to a person or an animal assists them to become more relaxed, encourages their self-healing, and promotes a more balanced energy flow. Reiki treatments for people often involve a light hands-on touch, however, when working with animals, Animal Reiki is often offered at a distance. This distance technique enables the use of Reiki with all animals, including those that are frightened, aggressive or wild. Reiki can help address any issues on a physical, mental, emotional or spiritual level and is a safe and gentle energy healing therapy. For more information; http://www.animalreikisource.com
